Freshman Morgin Coonfield of McKinleyville High School takes 13th out of a field of 31 elite high school runners at the Stanford Invitational on Friday. She clocked a time of 10:32.24 for the 3000 meter race. This is the only time this season she will run this distance as high schoolers typically compete in the 3200. The time translates to roughly an 11:14 for the 3200, her best time of this young season. She traveled up from Palo Alto to Redding right after her race to join her teammates and compete Saturday at the Hornet Invitational at Enterprise High School where she plans to race both the 1600 & 3200 races.
