to collect food

Boy Scouts in Humboldt County are attempting to gather 50,000 cans of food to feed families who go hungry every day in Humboldt County. You can help by donating cans of food between March 10, 2013 and March 16, 2013.

Boy Scouts from McKinleyville Troop 99 will be in uniform in the Little Pond Street, Fortune Street and Peeples Street neighborhoods collecting canned food on the evening of March 15. All of the food gathered will remain in our community.

For additional information on a participating Boy Scout Troop in your area contact the Scout Office at 443-8345 or drop off a bag of canned food at Grace Good Shepard 1450 Hiller Rd in McKinleyville.

If you or someone you know is interested in joining the Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Venturing, Sea Scouts, or Explorers please call the Eureka Scout Office at 443-8345 for more information.
