The McKinleyville Press is a locally owned, independent newspaper serving the communities of McKinleyville, Fieldbrook, Westhaven, Trinidad and Orick in northern Humboldt County, California. The Press is a weekly newspaper published each Tuesday.

The Press is written by local residents for local residents and strives to be fair and balanced. The Press also provides a forum on its opinion pages for residents to debate the issues of the day.

azalea pictureBe sure to visit our new Azalea Festival page. The 2007 Azalea Festival was held Thursday, May 31, though Saturday, June 2, in McKinleyville. The event, previously known as Pony Express Days, included a Firemen’s Muster, BBQ, Chicken Pie Bingo raffle, Alumni Football Game, four bicycle races, The Azalea Festival parade, and lots more.

The McKinleyville Press published a special edition before the event with stories about the Azalea Festival, including an event schedule-- and lots of Festival photos in the following issue.
